(1) Silicate mortar
Silicate Mortar is a two-part, chemically setting mortar of the silicate type.
In contrast to other resin type and sulphur type mortar, it is advised against chronically acidic conditions and can sustain significantly higher temperatures.
Due to its extremely low cost, silicate mortar is typically used with acid-resistant bricks and tiles for acid-resistant masonry construction.
Protecting chimneys, incinerators, and other high temperature machinery is strongly advised. Excellent resistance to nitric acid and 98% sulfuric acid.
Essentially, there are two varieties based on sodium silicate or potassium silicate.
